Respect and Brotherhood: At Honor and Ash Cigar Club, respect is the cornerstone of our community. Every member is expected to treat others with dignity and honor, recognizing the shared experiences that bring us together as veterans, law enforcement officers, firefighters, and first responders. Disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated.
Prohibited Content: Members are strictly prohibited from posting or sharing any pornographic material or content related to illegal drugs. Our club is a space of respect and camaraderie, and such content undermines the integrity and purpose of our community.
Membership Admission: The admission of new members is a vital process that ensures the integrity and harmony of our club. All potential members must be voted in by existing members with an 80% approval rate. This process underscores the value we place on community consensus and the shared values of our club.
Voting on Club Matters: The club values the opinions and voices of all its members. As such, any changes to the club’s rules or important decisions will be put to a vote. Voting takes place monthly, between the 15th and the 20th, ensuring that all members have the opportunity to participate in the club’s decision-making process.
Monthly Participation: Once you become a patched member of Honor and Ash Cigar Club, the minimum requirement is to participate in a herf (cigar gathering) once a month. This regular engagement is essential to maintain your standing in the club. However, while once a month is the minimum, we encourage members to join these gatherings more frequently to strengthen our bonds and enjoy our shared passion for cigars.
Conflict Resolution: Should disagreements or conflicts arise, members are encouraged to resolve issues amicably and in the spirit of brotherhood. If necessary, club leadership can be approached to mediate and help find a resolution.
Confidentiality and Privacy: Members are expected to maintain confidentiality regarding personal information and discussions that occur within the club. The privacy and trust of our members are paramount, and any breach of this trust is considered a serious violation of our club’s ethos.
Compliance with Laws: All members must adhere to local, state, and federal laws, especially regarding tobacco use, alcohol consumption, and conduct. The club does not condone illegal activities and expects members to uphold the highest standards of legality and integrity.
Encouragement of Engagement: While the monthly herf is the only requirement, members are encouraged to participate in other club activities, discussions, and events. Active engagement enriches our community and strengthens our connections.
Amendments to the Rules: The club acknowledges that circumstances and needs evolve over time. Therefore, these rules are subject to amendments, which will be considered and voted upon by the club membership in with an 80% of positive votes to pass.
